Description:
The historic Grand 1894 Opera House has survived storms and hurricanes to become one of the area's most majestic and venerable performance venues. Specializing primarily in high-profile concerts, it has hosted such acts as Robert Earl Keen, B.B. King, and the Jubilee Banjo Band. It lies on the east end of the island, near the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital.
