Description:
Since 1997, the Strand Theatre has been putting on theatrical productions and other performance events. The theater is located in the 1871 Victorian-style Opperman building in the historical Strand District of Galveston, which features many shops, restaurants and entertainment options. Prior events at the theater have included "The Odd Couple," a comedy by Neil Simon, and innovative folk music by Rodney Branigan.
