Description:

Home of the 1877 tall ship Elissa, the Texas Seaport Museum covers the restoration process of the authentic ship through images and a short video as well as a self-guided tour of the ship. It is located in Galveston's historic port near the historic Ocean Star Oil Rig and Museum. The museum also has exhibits relating to seaborne commerce and the immigration movements of the 19th and 20th centuries into Galveston, including a computerized immigration database that was compiled from old passenger manifests.

Open daily, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Adults $8; Students (7-18) $6; Children 6 and under are free.
