As a long-standing customer of Doggie Detailers, I will admit that the credit card thing can be an inconvenience, but it's a small one in light of the quality of service. What I like the most is that the owner, Becki, and her staff are all real animal lovers. I always know my lil buddy is in safe hands when in their care. They groom all types of dogs and every one gets a cute bow or bandanna to go home with, at no additional charge. There are also no extra charges for things like an oatmeal/medical bath. Nail clipping, ear cleaning and expressing the hiney gland is included with every groom. When I pick my baby up from his groom, he smells wonderful and I know that all the important things have been done to help me ensure his good health and hygeine. The shop is located on 61st Street and Heards Lane, so it's just a minute off the freeway, (at the 61st exit), and is close to the seawall. I drive over from Texas City and the location provides me quick access to grocery stores, Wal Mart and such. I can take care of my shopping while my baby's getting a 'do or just enjoy the seawall while I wait. Becki and staff are very accommodating when it comes to those of us who live off of the Island. Just be sure to book for an early-out when you make your appointment. The normal 'early out' time is 'In at 9/Out by 1'. I would never consider taking my dog anywhere else. Doggie Detailers is a hometown business with a casual and happy atmosphere. There's always lots of laughter to go 'round. Personally, in this age of corporate everything, I enjoy giving my business to people who actually know my name when I walk in the door and care for my pet as if he were their own.

Does good work; however, this company has poor business administration. Does not take credit cards and notification was a faded sign on a busy bulletin board high on the wall. I had to go to an ATM and if I did not have an ATM Card I would not have been able to retrieve my dog. Owner?s response to my concerns, inconvenience and extra cost was? ?Don?t come back?. OK, I won?t.
